This maybe of some limited interest to a few

1812 CHIEF TECUMSEH - ''WELLINGTON OF THE INDIANS''

Chief Tecumseh , who few I dares say have ever heard of ,

Who insured that Canada never became a state of the U SA ,

Who led from the front his people against the invaders ,

From the U S A ,

A man of great inelegance , articulate , a man of knowledge ,

Who sided with the British , to take on the invading army of the U S A ,

Who were intent on making Canada a part a state of the U S A ,

Chief Tecumseh united the Indian tribes stopped waring with each other ,

Gained their trust and respect , united them against the common foe ,

Sir Isaac Brock , intern could see something about the Chief that were ,

Awesome ,

The native Indians had suffered greatly at the hands of the American ,

Administrations ,

Sir Isaac Brock promised Chief Tecumseh that the Indians their own ,

Country after the defeat of the American ,

The great Chief duly delivered the support of his peoples ,

Who fault with great courage , the army of the U S A became fearful ,

Chief Tecumseh had a reputation to not being cruel to surrendered ,

Soldiers ,

He ordered his fellow Chiefs to hold their warriors back from killing prisoners of ,

Battle ,

He on hearing of his orders being ignored charge on his horse to ,

Stop what was being inflicted upon the captured American soldiers ,

Chief Tecumseh , gained both fear and the grudging respect of the Americans ,

Chief Tecumseh leadership , his generalship , led to the defeat of America ,

Though only Sir Isaak Brock is remembered by the Canadians ,

No statue of the great Chief who was Chief Tecumseh , no monuments to he ,

Yet in America , the foe , remembers the Chief with greet respect ,

Erected a monument to he , held in greet respect a former enemy ,

As is Sir Isaac Brock , has celebrating his achievement in keeping Canada ,

Free from being a state of America ,

Sadly , but probably for the best , both Sir Isaac Brock , Chief Tecumseh

Were killed before the war was won , both leading from the front ,

So neither lived to see the promises made , betrayed ,

The war of 1812 , great men remembered

I'm British, but I hate what was done to other nations by our ancestors, but we are still doing it now. I agree entirely with Kens' sentiments and feelings. It is not armies that cause war, but cowardly politicians that have never been in battle but lust after power and greed. Small rant over.

Ken, applause
