THE SAMARITAN PHILOSOPHY
Now let me make it clear ,I'm not religious at all ,
In fact I'm an humanist ,
According to my own frame of mind ,
I believe in humanity , simple as that ,
I have and I cheery pick philosophy ,
That fits me like a glove ,
I chose the story of The Samaritan ,
Is one that I liked as a child ,
Of a man walking with his donkey ,
It were hot day , just another ,
Up front he could see a something ,
In the distance , the man could see a bundle ,
Saw people cross the road to the other side ,
Pick up their step and hurry bye ,
They came up and past the man and his donkey ,
One he noticed was a clergy man , a man of the cloth ,
The man thought ''must be a dead animal of some kind ''
Others he saw do just the same , none said anything,
The man got closer ,
He saw it were not an animal ,
But a human being ,
Who clothes were torn , the man him self was all covered in blood ,
The man on the ground was moaning , in pain , asking for help ,
The walking man , took his water skin , gave the injured man a drink ,
Washed the wounds , took of his shirt , tore in to strips , bound the mans ,
Wounds ,
Lifted the wounded man upon the back of his donkey ,
Walked to the nearest inn , the landlord , were not too keen ,
On seeing the color of the money offered , then he was over helpful ,
The man told the innkeeper '' you look after him RIGHT '' ,
'I WILL BE BACK!" ,
And so he did , paying over the odds , to insure the injured man ,
Were given the best of care ,
Then he came back the injured man had recovered ,
The two got to talking ,
The injured man asked '' why did you stop? '' , '' Your a ---'' ,
The man stopped the injured man from saying anymore ,
'' So what! '' , '' I'm a man , just like you ''
