(in our dreams)

The Curious Carnavale

when the curious carnavale rolls into our town

tie up your hair with blue ribbons and strings

burn all the things in the cupboards and on shelves

assume the costumes who assumes someone else

appears tonight in celestial rings

who's brushing away the dust from your wings

oh show me how if you will I won't tell

to turn away Time...the World's carousel

plays tunes to the keys invisible air

forgotten notes written like leaves

swirl through the mind in your hands held like THE NIGHT

step where the path appears to rise up so far

resume to weightless climes , chimes the feathering violet clouds

gathering like covers for a bed where dreams touch down

when the curious carnavale rolls into town
