the paradox of your mask and who you search for
the calm and stable loyalty you are for those you love
the purity of your love, untainted by logical structures designed to allow sideroads
your preference for calm and quiet - disappearing into the shadows with me
to watch what I point out and show me the things you see
Through your eyes I see a world I can understand and love
in your eyes I see a man I can trust and rely upon
though your walls may be cold at times
I know they will remain a fortress for us
and be irremovable by any army
but my own betrayal
You let me be a wildfire that heats your dampened walls
and lights the lamps in your fortress
a raging fire that burns the limbs of your enemies
I let you be my home
labyrinths and rooms to discover and marvel at
hidden codes and secret hallways to wonder over
warm rooms to live in complete safety from the cold that grips the hearts of many
a fortress filled with laughter and music
