Grey Zone
To sadden her heartso that mine wont be jealous
I feel petty
for this necessity
To play by the rules of the world I try to leave behind
so that you can step into mine
I feel like it is all just bullshit
if it hurts her rather than lifts her up
Yet I stand by my answer
Grey zones live from the maybes and what ifs and hopes
between two people that don't know or arent quite sure or ready yet
Grey zones cannot be sustained when
maybe becomes yes
with someone else
and even if I trust you not to do anything
I can hardly breathe knowing
you are there, in her grey zone
