Delving into a dark room in my head tonight brought out this

Violate

Strangers
resigned to living together forever
to calling something dark, love
and never looking the other in the eye
when they should've been lost in the other

Strangers
owning each other's bodies to use
for selfish working through issues and
desperately clinging to hopes crushed long ago

Hatred
patiently waiting at the door for the other to come
home
to a home destroyed long ago

Not sure if I am on the right track but appears to be an exploration of how relationships can sometimes be held together for all the wrong reasons. A good write. Enjoyed the read.
