girl meditating at the beach
children at play on the beach,while a young girl meditates -
beach tanned skin
and an unbroken concentration -
what's this?
her gaze turns toward
the children at play
i see segments of people on the beach,
people who know one another,
who gather into groups
of friends and relatives,
and who do not mingle with strangers,
people who go about their lives
and the tanned girl
is silent in the moment
amidst all the distractions
