Just having fun.

The revolution is leaving

You're taking to the streets with important words at hand.
But there is nobody there, you are alone to take the stand.

(The revolution is leaving)
Everybody's bought comfortable shoes.
(The revolution is leaving)
They're working part time in the kindergarten.
(The revolution is leaving)
They're doing two years in the library school.
(The revolution is leaving)
They're on their bikes even when it's snowing.

You're going to the bar where you agreed to change the world.
But there is nobody there, the amen corner has unfurled.

(The revolution is leaving)
Everybody's bought comfortable shoes.
(So sad to see that it's leaving)
They're working part time in the kindergarten.
(It packed it's case and it's leaving)
They're doing two years in the library school.
(It said it's peace and it's leaving)
The answer's missing 'cause the wind's still blowing.

(The revolution is leaving)

Thank you kindly. I've had a good tutor. An American in fact. You know how the old Polynesian saying goes; The Tiki God is to important to be taken seriously.

Now this is powerful. There are not many twenty somethings that can see the failings in protesting as a way of life. When I was that age I hung out with crowds that were sure to unite and change the world. They have been since in jail or worse on a second marriage. You say you are just having fun, you are but you are hitting on the truth as well. I saw a " punk " with a mohawk talking on a cell phone, he must have missed the text page on the revolution being cancelled until next week. Good write.
