Summer

The winter chill has gone,
your warmth has left me.
Summer blossomed with its flamboyant grace
and its lukewarm sea-green wonder.
Its scorching heat melted away
your imprint on my body,
my soul yearning for something
that exists no more.

I wondered how many such winters I endured,
everything melting away
when summer reached my life.
I am tired of the game now,
i want summer to solder the one person to me
and winter to envelope me
in the warm embrace of the same person.

A feeling of same,
I would like that.
The same hand to hold
and the same warmth to enjoy.
I grow tired of winter flings
that leave me cold in summer.

I just wish that the next summer
will see me wearing its colours,
the special someone by my side.
