IT'S COLD STILL WINTER

It's cold , winter shows no sign of giving way to spring

Moods are not a pretty blue more a darkly blue

So I write the blues

I so feel what you mean here. Sigh. Spring will come... slowly on its dwindling way at the moment, but coming :)

Yesterday it was beautiful, I sat in the garden, today it is arctic - this time last year we were on the beach - they are forecasting snow for us next week again!

Spring will come, Ken, just wait and see!

Certainly true here too as I read this - sleet this morning turning to eight inches of snow later today and tonight . . . it may be officially spring but apparently no one has informed winter yet. I try to consider that I'll be all the more grateful when warm blue skies finally do come.

Darkly blue, I know the color well. As the sun makes it triumphant turn toward the north, those blues should brighten up a bit--a nice azure or turquoise'd be nice. Enjoyed your poem.
