THE DIE IS CAST

We are caret balls and chains

We carry them unseen

Our freedoms taken away

One at a time , then , more and more

Soon we will have none left

Then it will be , to late to protest

Warnings , were given

But to few listened or read , headed , gave a dame

Now it's way to late , the die is cast

A lot of our rights are being tampered with in the name of security! Scary stuff... the precedents which are being laid out are definitely leading us on a slippery slope!

Ken, you are a prophet who understands the unique perspective of human rights. This poem is, sadly, so very true and wonderfully written.

Thank you for sharing this...

Well said Ken. I don't know if it's true in the U.K., but here people are so afraid of "terrorism" that they're begging the government to take away our rights. The government, of course, happily has consented.
