SNAIL , SLUG , TORTISE , ME AND C F

We are all rather truly slow

Not ones to hog the fast lane

Not for us the over taking lane

Us preferring the slowly way

Take in the view

Liston to the birds singing

Watch them on the wing , swooping

Hither and dithering up in the sky

The creches tiny other large

Taking in the flora and fauna

Passing nowt bye

The rest of the world in a mad cap

Zoom past us , mores the pity

Mores for them

We arrive in our own sweat time

Our destination

I was once one of those impatient people in the fast lane, when my priorities - my career and what it could provide for my family - seemed to demand it. Now it is they who are in constant motion from here to there and I get to take it slow. There is so much more to see, and doing less becomes doing more. Glad my little tanka resonated with you, my friend.
