Bubbles Appear

expanding spheres glow
weird lights evanescent, flicker
bouncing off the walls

Lovely! The description within these few lines brings an image of bubbles to my mind with ease.

This haiku couldn't be more perfect. Even bubbles have been "technologized" now, my grandsons have battery-powered guns that make them, which to me takes all the magic out of dipping the wand in the bottle, waving it through the air, trying to catch them on the wand again, being the one who creates them. Sometimes the old ways are the best ways.

We weren't allowed to have bubbles when I was young - good catholic girls - so we would use the horrible soaps to rub between our hands and I would love the colours like pools in tarmac on rainy days
