why are girls being discriminated in India ?

Is being a women a fault ?

"behind every successful man,
there is the effort of a woman."
"behind every showers of happiness in a family,
there lies the hard work of a woman."

So high is her importance !
yet she struggles surviving under the male dominance...!
her body and soul has to withstand
all the wild forces acting against her.
She has to forcibly tolerate
serious mental and physical abuses...
but why does she suffer all these things...?

66 years of freedom in India
Yet ,did any woman enjoy freedom...,
even to walk alone in the streets
with little bucks of courage!
Why the cries of these ingenuous
don't trigger your minds?

None to end her anxieties and fear...
none to volunteers for her evacuation...
None in the society is ready to fulminate
Against this inhuman act of males!
ah!Such a vulgar act, can't we eliminate ?

Is being a female itself a fault?
Or should the people be educated?
things must be changed before turning too wild and worse.
Let a woman survive independently with dignity...
Let her walk with pride and fame...
Let her sail without fear and obstacles
Before she becomes a haunting memory...

I would like to write so much on this, but the fact is that women are discriminated against, even here in what we call the western world - we are still underpaid, to take a man to court for rape is still ne'er impossible to get a conviction, we can't win, but what has happened in India and other places, it makes us cry and cry and cry - I do not know the answer but East, West, North and South, women are not really valued - I lived a while and lived in many places, in the west we dress it up - rape is still one of the hardest crimes to prove, even when the evidence is so profound - no matter where you are in the world.

And as the bee needs the flower so too does the flower need the bee. One without the other cannot endure. For all that we would give our women, it is only they who give life to our children. It is not equality but sacred esteem we owe the mothers of our world.

Well written and thought provoking text, thank you.
