the grand journey

lines of poetry keep popping
into my head,
i suppress them,
thinking i'll jot it down later

they vanish into the oblivion
of my outer mind

i keep thinking back to that trip to thailand
(which i never took)

a roman cathedral, a thai temple
and i'm lost in my mind!

alright, i'm about to hit the road,
make the grand journey

Story of my life dude. Lol.
Just last week I had several good lines that I hadn't jotted down.
Now I can't even reconstruct them!
But as you have aptly said, we embark on a grand journey...
That in itself is poetry - the way we live our days.

Those first two stanzas sum up me perfectly, I really need a notebook with me to get those lines down, I always think yea I'll remember that and poof it's gone. Great thing the mind, mine has made some spectacular journeys. You have managed both, the journey and the lines!
