Seas Of Ink

When the day has flown, close my eyes to sleep in seas of ink
The heart is unknown, wishful thoughts come on and let me sink
Into your skies flowering over the heavens and through 
Wistful and wise as the dream is again always of you
Let me believe something is real and almost there
Just to perceive your ghost like touch the silent air
Sings soft to me refrains like rains full of tender lights
All the things I may never have, yet they fill my nights
With visions of you, the way you laugh and the dress you wear
Oh I never knew, someday anyone could be so dear,
The heart is unknown, wishful thoughts come on and let me sink

I pretty much come at my poems head-on in a straight line from here to there. Your poems are more like a gem where each line is a facet, not direct light but refraction and reflection, or as Jim said more suggestive than definitive. However we say it, this is a lovely poem.
