Male menopause and all that a nostalgic reverie

Dog Days by M.A.Meddings

Why am I such a tender lover
When it was not my style years ago
Love them and leave them
Was the only horse I knew then
Now I have let my feelings show

The simple matter is so very easy
It is hard to be romantic at my age
The creaky limbs a must so
Libido has no gusto
And the sex appeal lets say its had its days

But I have fire still within my belly
A pretty face can always turn my head
But one in particular
Has me wanting to tickler
And that's before we even get in bed

So if my romancing seems a little jaded
It was never ever meant to be that way
I have love enough to spare
And a heart that does so care
Even though this dog has had his day

A beautiful poem, warm-hearted, open and sincere! Indeed you have fire, hero, and the gift of expressing yourself beautifully!

Honesty is so sexy!!! I love this! The mind is where it all starts. The mind! The younger days of "Love them and leave them" is purely physical. But, now your mind seduces. Your words touch the inner most sensitive part of a woman. That part is what it is all about. Romance begins between the ears and then can lead elsewhere.
