Insignificant

Friends, you beautiful beings
people I love because of the glory of your smiles
the gentleness of your hearts or ingenuity of your minds
how generously you share your
time
love
secrets
with undeserving me
- you'll dismiss my self-dismissal, but

somewhere down the road of life I've barely walked I stopped believing
that I am my best self and therefor
undeserving

Friends,
you most awesome treasures

You open up and tell me the most unthinkable

that you too feel
undeserving
worthless

But you are the world - you matter

you don't see that your defined unsuccessfulness
does not matter - no not at all

It is the things that you dont see
the places where you blossom, reach out and freely express or act
from the most beautiful places of yourself
whether it is art, loyalty, kindness, love, justice, music, or just being that one hug
that I needed that day

You matter - always
