You are beautiful

My Dear Darling,
Don't you see?
The person in the mirror you see each and every day, with the scars running along her cheek, is in fact beautiful. People stare at her and whisper in each other's ears. The kids at school are scared of her and yet they make fun of this quiet little thing; they won't let her be. You do feel hurt and hope that they will stop. You put yourself down when you listen to their words, and believe what they have to say. You've tried hurting yourself; that brought grief only to you and your family. It didn't solve anything. Did it?
When a friend did come along and saw you for the beautiful person that you are deep inside. You pushed him away. Why? Why do you see your own faults and never think you're good enough? Why do you spend your time alone in your room? Why do you keep yourself away from the people who love you?
The world doesn't know what you have been through. They don't know what the scars signify. You have seen and been through more than what these people have; and yet you've come out strong and alive. They try and bring themselves up by putting you down. Don't you see that they are in wrong? So stop listening to the whispers that pass you by. You are beautiful.

Made me feel like saying "You're absolutely right!"... a lot of pain in this, but a hopeful air that it will be overcome in the same token. Enjoyed how you expressed this.
