Just For This Night

Listen to the wind
hear how it blows
through the seas, through the sky.

It wants to take me: listen
how it roves the world
to take me far away

Hide me in your arms
just for this night,
while the rain breaks
against the sea and earth

Listen how the wind
calls me to go with it
to take me far away
to swallow me in its mouth

With your brow on my brow
with your mouth on my mouth
our bodies tied
to the love that consumes us

Let the wind pass
and not take me away

Let the wind rush
calling and screaming
seeking for me in the shadow
while I,
sink beneath your eyes,
just for this night
we shall rest, my love.

It seems unfulfilled. The rhythm is way off. You can do better.

I wrote a comment but it got lost in the ether of the net - I enjoyed this, reminds me of the mistral winds we have in August and those feelings

A romantic heartfelt love affair that never ends and seals with a kiss. The power of real love. Very well written!
