Pledge Of Allegiance

In its present form the US Pledge of Allegiance reads:
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

But the time has come to redirect the allegiance and to rewrite the text.
I propose the following words:

I pledge allegiance to the planet Earth
And to its nature on which my life depends
One Earth, indivisible
With Liberty, Equality and Justice for all.

Yes, there's a good pledge indeed!

"In its majestic equality, the law forbids rich and poor alike to sleep under bridges, beg in the streets, and steal loaves of bread."

justice for all if instead one had said: punishment for all...you would have justice for all because i guess punishment and justice go along

Define "under God" :-) Anyway, most people know in their heart what Liberty, Equality and Justice means. Just ask someone from the black community in the US or any other group that is (or has been) suffering under religious, economical and/or political oppression. But I agree with you. When it comes to politics and economy, these words becomes rubber-bands stretched by greed and desire to the limit of breaking. /GG

Better, but good luck trying to define those last three terms.

Bravo!!! Isn't it time we stopped pledging allegiance to any one country and became citizens of the planet Earth! Our survival on this planet is at risk and we continue to destroy it for personal gain or patriotic gain. What good is any of that if the planet will no longer sustain human life??? I really like this. :-)
