Futuristic Smiles

I think I saw your smile
reflected in that rather
dingy shop,
you know the one,
or has it closed?

Anyhow between
the drapes and
the cobwebs
I saw that wink,
the one I kicked
you for and you
spun me round
and even though
it was raining
and I hadn't an umbrella
you held me
so tight
and we kissed
eyelashes
splashing
we didn't notice
and afterwards
we walked
holding hands
as I caught teardrops
from dripping hair.

I don't really
miss the kisses
the hand in the
small of my back,
I miss the us of us
and futuristic smiles
that never came
to fruition

This is so beautiful! The feelings you leave the reader with are so heavy and nostalgic of the best and saddest of memories.

you can bring the memories back you!
