Impromptu slam that depicts the state of my mind in a relationship...


Strength to be happy

Why am I here?

I dont care about the people
I dont care about him
I dont care about his feelings
...

Then why

Do I subject myself to depression
When I can be elsewhere
Why go hungry, when food is elsewhere
If it is a choice i've made to stay up
Why dont i choose to just walk away
and live to see another day

Another bright and happy day.
No hunger no thirst
No worry no curse
Only smile at people you want to
And talk when you feel like it
No duty, no obligations
No sword of expectation

It just takes a few minutes
to make that decision to walk out
But it does take more
To act on it and stick it through

Strength comes from within
Never from others
Never from the past
Never from hope
Always from inside
Staying strong is important
And staying happy even more so.

Sometimes we need to find that strength
to make and stick to decisions
that will make us happy...
