About Christmas and the joy of birth

Son Of Ours

You were born under the star
with cows, amongst hay, with kings in tow and
thunderous cheers in heaven.

You were a violins best tune
the soloist from heaven
in A-Dur

You, made in thought from God
painted in colors not known to man

only ones that a woman could see
gathered from heavenly fountains

your mother was a true painter.

In symphony you said your first words
out of bodily cry

ten fingers and ten toes
a human in kind.

A momentous boy you were,
in great sigh.

Claiming your place
in time,

Were you
the tiny symbol first as a smile
you grew in to a special kind

the one that would conduct a testimony, ceremony
one that would demand
correction
in every direction

never with a closed fist
but always
with an opened hand

you where born on December 24
so they say

childlike, brave and bright

Godlike, human, son of woman
and man
rascal ...

The Great Light
on mountain, and ocean

Son of a man and a woman, yet godlike ... a man who changed the world forever. Was he real or legend? The biggest farce that man created or a man ahead of his time? Hard to know ... for better or for worse? We'll never know. Good writing.

Rascal indeed. Whether one believes in his deification or not, there is no question that he changed the world. Very thoughtful and unique Christmas poem.
