Heavenly Love


I caught
the moon smiling tonight. Just a hint, just a sliver,
but a smile, a little shy, a little coy,
but a smile.

I looked across the sky
and wondered, could it be? And then I saw
the twinkle in her eye!
Cassiopeia!

I always knew there was romance
in the stars, but oh!
how this warms a cold, cold night!
I so wish them well,

I would wish them all the love in the world,
but their world is beyond ours,
they are in the realm of the Gods.

Cassiopeia ... my favorite constellation for the many meanings we can give it. This one is sweet and beautiful ... like 'heavenly love.' :-)
