marcy and colin invite antoinette

and nathaniel to go camping  

at point reyes this weekend.

antoinette says thanks all the same

but nathaniel can go. he's exicited. 

colin thinks a little guy time,

a little chest-thumping, will be a nice change

from too many females, not that there

can ever be too many females,

but he may be right. going into

last sunday's football game

nathaniel didn't know the difference

between a football and a radish.

by the end of the game, there he was

in the 'hawks jersey we got him,

yelling, "PUNCH IT IN! PUNCH IT IN!"

nathaniel's six, and it's true, there hasn't been

much testosterone in his life. maybe colin

can impart guyness without overkill,

colin being a pretty cool guy.

i'm a little surprised antoinette

agreed so readily, but we've become

one big happy family. nathaniel

is beginning to look up to colin,

and antoinette trusts marcy implicitly.

terri and i decline as we have

a full plate, but it does sound like fun.

sometimes fun gets short shrift.
