WORDS POETRY AND ME

I dont write in fancy dan kind of way just not me just , not my way
I write using words of every day kind of way just my way
Sure I envy those who can , spin a poem , using words like silk as threads
Right pretty I agree

Now and again , I stumble on a word , that I like , take a fancy to
Some how wordsmith the newly found word in to a poem, or in a work of mine

Now being British , we have a rep for '' borrowing '' , words , we do for sure
Our language , is referred to has a Topsy language , always growing up woulds
And yes out woulds to boot!
Since the days of empire ( not written in pride I hasten to say! )
We Brits found words we kind of like , took them back to our smoggy Isle
Them words found a home with in our language , and there they remain!

No words were safe from us Brits , I recon , words of every tongue can be found
With in our English spoken and written
And we just never throw words a way : ''that will come in handy some time later''

It's all in there, all right: Anglo-Saxon, Gaelic, Latin, Norman French, Hindi, you nme it. That's why English drives native speakers of other languages nuts.

Thanks, Ken. Your discourse on words left me smiling. And that is a good thing!

Best regards, my Wordsmith friend.
