GOING FORWARD TO A KNOWN PAST

Going forward to a known past
Eyes of the mind blinkered
Clouded thinking
Selective reporting
History miss techde
Who listaning any way?

''Thats so boring , happened years
Ago anyway , nothing to do with us
It's never going to happen hear''

What was is kind of likely to happen yet again
How many more of history repeated
Before THEY , will say NO NO more!

Some times the message ,

has to be repeated - till more heed the - warning!

"Going forward to a known past" . . . what an outstanding line Ken. I know how you mean it here, and certainly agree with you . . . but this also can have meaning in a number of ways depending upon the reader, which is what good poems do.

Many times I have been "going forward into the past" when I've come to a moment and a place and it seems my ancestors had been there, were still there; and for that moment I could see it as they did, have a connection to it and to them. But then, as you said, "what was is kind of likely to happen yet again."

What is happening is both interesting and disastrous. It seemed that humanity was moving forward for a while, but suddenly it has made a turn toward the dark ages and all that has happened since will happen again. I can see it in the attitudes of many.
