Watching my garden

Garden Party

A rich organic fruitful breeze
Caresses winter grass softly
drawing a timid green from its
secret store on kitten's feet

It wanders With flirtatious
Tease strumming lifeless
Winter boughs producing
Rhythmic symphonic chords

Awakening buds of forsythia
Which in yellow vibrant turn
Announce the coming of other
blushing shy relations

In oriental arabesque it moves
To suddenly with warmth and sun
Become a kaleidoscopic burst
The symphony of life renewed

How lovely Josephus, here too everything is verdant, although from Christmas we do have the camaelias out and now the pheasant eye, my forsythia has been out a while, I was rather worried that I had over chopped at it last year. Gardens are a wonderful place for appreciating the seasons, I enjoyed reading and join in the party too :-)

This could be part of Wordsworth's "Preludes," though for him it was always the daffodils.

Rich descriptions of the surroundings. Made me feel like I was right there in the garden with you. Beautifully written.

Nicely written, and quite accurate. I love it when I can smell the earth again and the forsythias have announced that spring is here.
