warmongers

I looked into the face of a baby today
...
I saw the world smile back
...
I saw innocence and trust
...
I saw a new life
...
I felt humble
...
I felt a bitter sadness
...
I thought of future wars
...
I wondered how the baby would cope
...
I thought of you, reading this
...
I thought you might understand
...
I thought we are, at this very moment in time
...
...
Trapped
...
...
Our only defence to offer this new life is the word
...
Sadly the word is read by a captive audience
...
Not the warmongers of tomorrow
...
The warmongers of tomorrow are the babies of today
...
I looked into the face of a baby today
...
Tomorrow.... Who knows

Very good. But there are many babies who will not become warmongers. I foresee a time soon that will be like the 60's and 70's and war will be detested and protested against again.

Mick, I applauded this. If I could, I would have applauded it numerous times! Write on, my friend... Write on.
