CAUGHT IN THE RAIN ON A HOT SUMMER EARLY EVANING (thanks to Thomas Perdue)

A long time a go
I was on my way
To visit some one
When the sky opened
As like the sluice gates
Unlocked - gates swinging free
Raine came down - in torrents
More like water - pouring from the sky
From light of summer the evening turned - dark
In seconds I were wet through drenched to the bone

The evening was worm - early on - the rain was worm oh so worm
I was happy - despite the the drenching - joy was in and with out me
All a round me - oh the joy of that evening!

People saw me some laughed - others - gave me an old fashioned look!
I felt I was - Gene Kelly!
I sang out - belted out - '' I'm Singing In The rain!
I even started dancing - in the rain
It was a funny old - young kind of evening
If they'd been a wall close - by - I'd have danced up that wall!

One Rainy Wet Summers Evening Long Long Ago! - Smiling

i've always loved the rain, ever since i was very young. i remember thunderstorms in early childhood, the rattling of the skies use to startle me. but somehow, i now find it comforting.

a very fun story of a rainy summer day, really enjoyed it!

What a wonderful moment for you. I had a similar experience once when I was overseas in a humid climate and I was so happy that it rained that I danced and laughed. I even tried to get the kids to dance with me. They thought I was crazy too. This is a beautiful story ken :)
