Finding a reason to start the day and to find appreciation in what life has to offer.
The contrast between each stanza is like an awakening. "Written in blood" is based on a dream. -19th May 2015.


Written in blood.

Faceless angel -
Your wings fold over me,
You keep me with your warm breath.
My day is done.
It has ended with you.
My words are written in blood.

And before I go -
Tell me why you have me here,
Between the seven winds of earth.
My day is done.
It has started with you.
I'm gracious under this red sky.

Very beautiful. For some reason I was thinking that it is a grandmother talking to a grandchild. But we all get something different from poetry sometimes. Nice though.
