The replacement part I

Oddly enough addiction means replacing what you knew (what helped you survive) with what you thought you knew(balance). But let’s take it from the beginning. What helped you survive while being unborn was to focus in the process of evolution. Simply put to stand still without standing still. When addicted to something or someone you stand still in your head while your body is aging and try to find a way to get your fix - everything stops -

While you get your fix you stand still without evolving to something better but that doesn’t give you anxiety death anxiety You believe that you finally found what gives you balance what is life giving what helps you relax and you finally get some much needed rest.

Until you “wake up” again meaning miss your fix and the world feels chaotic out of touch because in your head everything stops and inside your body the accelerated aging process is predicting your future. You feel the death anxiety your body feels. You feel that it warns you but you assume that you actually need your fix and you let the search for your fix consume you. Does it mean that in our heads what we think we need takes us to a place where the time doesn’t exist?

Allas it is not the cure to mortality. Getting older while evolving makes you feel balanced. Getting older while longing & forgetting what really matters bring us out of touch with everything that truly exists. What you knew instinctively is balance What you convinced yourself that you know is that balance exists outside yourself.

This is a very interesting idea. It would explain the various times in our life where we lose track of ourselves. Only to return to almost a different person. Perhaps it is evolutionary in form. Cool.
