My French day

Now the breeze sweeps in from the sea
I'm sitting in the sunshine with a café au lait

There will be a hot day

Thyme smells from the garden
and stone tiles warm against my foot

Then I go to the harbor and buy
-fish and shrimp
-dill and fennel
-saffron
-an orange
-a bread
-a piece brie
and a bottle of Chablis

That is what I shall offer you
when you greet
...

Suddenly blaring alarm
there are half a meter of snow and twenty degrees below zero
/Maria

The picture you painted within your dream,
Was lovely as you know. I'm certain a smile from you
Could have melted all that snow. Regards Alan
