REFLECTIVE LOVE (some improvments) (with thanks to mecheegan work)

There was a man saw a reflection in a mirror
The reflection - look so human - smiled when
He Smiled
Agreed with all he had to say
The reflection - liked what he liked in cloths
Copied him in every way hair stiles - even used
The same aftershave - toothpaste

In time he fell in love with the reflection
He gathered up - all his courage - and asked Narcissus
For that was the name of the reflection
To marry him in the spring
Narcissus - eagerly said '' oh yes '' - '' oh yes lets be married! ''
Both jumped with joy - at the same time - uncanny that!

So June arrived - he and Narcissus were duly wed - the two became one

But as time passed he looked in to the mirror
What looked back - the reflection - was not as it was
The raven black hare was showing more gray than black - center paring wider
Les and lesser hair! when once the hair was thick and raven black
The face - now - well lost it's allure - teeth not has white as he remembered
And less of 'em! come to think about it! yes - love was going all the way of flesh
The flexibility of parchment! now the skin
The eyes no longer had any spark - no glitter - no glint
As for that belly! - where had the sooth stomach gone? now in folds of flesh
In fact - Narcissus - had let him self - go - go south - or west - both ways
Down - hill all the way anyway! The brakes only slowing down - thats all!
All the way from now on - down hill!
And Narcissus - lets be honest - lets be frank - could no perform - anymore!
Brutally honest - well no point - pussy footing around!

Him self - had some hard thinking to do
Him self was - had falling out of love with Narcissus
It was time to get a divorce!

He to stood in front of the mirror - looked in to the now milky eyes of Narcissus
And told him strait - BUT - as he spoke his words - he could here Narcissus
Saying the same words back!

They duly got divorced - both wonted - needed to move on
They got to arguing over who's to get the - mirror
They got rather argumentative - in tempers - frayed at the edge
No one knows whom did it - but - the mirror was smashed - both were pushing
Push came to shoving - both were
The Mirror - could take no more - it toppled off the wall - so committing Mirrorsicid* - splinters of glass lay all around - each showing the same
Not that he took note!
They have not seen each other since - no calls - messaging - no E males - nothing

Divorce - is oh so messy!

Until NOW- no such word - well there is - eat your hart out Oscar Wild!

Bravo Ken. A wonderful story told with great flair. I love the line "Narcissus - had let him self - go - go south - or west both ways " :)
