WE DONT ALWAYS KNOW OUR SELFS

We dont always know our selfs
Understand what makes us tick
Just what we are - who we are
Are we a result of nurture - nature
Environment - family - without a family
Peer pressure
Can we ever really know - understand?
So many questions - so many answers!

Yes I think the future understanding of this is in epigenetics. It takes into account all these things. A very interesting piece Ken :)

I mostly agree, Ken. It's not that "we don't always know ourselves." I think that it's we always don't know ourselves.

To complicate things further, it seems that nurture can change nature even as we age - epigenetics.

the ultimate conundrum Nature versus nurture...

Indeed a big mystery. Especially to ourselves what might be evident to others around us. I have seen children from troubled families grow up to be exceptional people and the other way around. Good nature and good nurture all helps, but there's still something, undefinable that makes each person who he/she is.
Great poem to make us ponder on one of the biggest mysteries of our world. :)

Mystery & riddle
- life is......

of course not, to grow up in a loving family is more important than to go to school imho.
and to know oneself has to see with the identity

imo again, some wants to put up what differs and others what resembles...but the origin of identity is idem the same...
