Animal

They have eyes to see you
And ears to hear you.
Given a choice, they would not come near you.
They have hearts to break
And souls that grieve
A nature with no design to deceive.
They have instincts and ways
That are lost to our kind
A lifeforce beyond your shuttered mind.
