ENGRAVDE ON STONE (with thanks to one trick pony)

They said it were writ in stone - engraved
So they claimed
The stone - unfortunately
Were floored
The stoned - split - cracked - the shards
Covered the floor
Such are broken promises
You just cant get the right type of stone these days!
Mind way back then - were just the same
Time and tide the prover the right and wrong stone
And clumsy - careless - thoughtless - mankind
Tiss upon harts - upon our minds the words we write - engrave - that ensures lasting Eternity
For the those who come after to know - we can only hope - understand
And recall us - and understand - us

This one is very good Ken. The last 3 lines are excellent. What use is stone that turns to dust when we can have hearts that keep a message forever :)

yes, what is written in stone is implied to be eternal. alas, stone becomes sand, given enough time.

well written mr. ken.
