Are you different?

They said I was different and they laughed at me
I laughed at them because they were all the same
I did something wrong and they laughed at me
They did something wrong and told me it was a mistake
The mistake they made was thinking I was different
I don't think i'm different, I know I'm different
I thank God I'm different
Not like them
All laughing at different things like you and me.

Vive la difference. I would hate to a societal clone. I would rather be the fly in its eye :)

Mick, this one makes me smile and chuckle with the audacity of it all. Well done!

I never want to be like everybody else. It's our differences that make us who we are. Great poem!
