The song I am

the song I am tonight falling
is me to you in a whisper
a dead man walking
around the silent clock

there are women beneath the bridge
unnamed water churning
with fish and gargoyles gaping
there are men at work with nothing

slender and constantly dying
the dragonfly of one day only
is yet to deliver one poem
of eternal brevity

Slender and constantly dying
The dragonfly of one day only
