Looking for a way Out

I tried hard
Maybe my best
I gave you all
There is nothing left

I gave you my heart
You tore it in two
I am falling apart
Not knowing what to do

Divided by decisions
Burned by your fire
Confused by your words
Tormented by desire

I am living in the present
Remembering the past
Not sure of what I lose
Not knowing what will last

Blinded by the loss
Drowning in doubt
Struggling to be free
Looking for a way out.

I like the rhythmic style--could be converted to a song. I won't comment on the content--it sounds too personal. Once someone here told me to mind my own business, which is probably not a bad piece of advice. Anyway, enjoyed the poem and thanks for posting it.

your rhymes add a poignancy to an already poignant poem. the last verse is devastating. i hope you find your way soon.

Well said, Ashe. You've described that can't leave-can't stay point perfectly.

We all, here, write unguardedly from the heart. Yours is broken. Ours is loving and caring of your loss. You are among loving friends.

This spoke to me of that frenetic fear that can so encompass us at times - the rush of words - well written

The way out is the way in - to the truth of you, your generous and loving heart . . . give some of that love to yourself and the healing will begin.

Very well written.
Hmmmm what would I do in such a case ... dance on his grave!
Yeah ...no probably not cos he'd still be there so I'd just lock up that trunk and throw away the key.
Never look back!

you will soon recover i guess. love is unbalanced...best care

This is painful to read. Love is often a roller coaster, but you cannot get off before the ride is over. That would be the worst of all things. Take care :)
