A ghost

Breathe With Me

It was dark at the beach
And too late to go home
So we pitched a tent
And slept under the bridge.

I was so afraid and lonely
That my body started to shake
And he told me to lay my head on his chest
And listen to his breath

"Breathe with me," he said
Until i synchronized my breathing with him
So together we breathed
Until all was well within

All fears and worries were gone
The loneliness was quenched
And on that night under the bridge
The two of us became one
Ashe

How beautiful. It is nice to have someone who you can trust that can help you fight your fears :)

From a fantasy to a ghost, something changed. Either way, you write of longing which is wistful and maybe universal. It certainly resonated with me, I've spent many words trying to write what you wrote.

It has been a long time but I recall those times of falling asleep only when our breaths aligned . . . there are other ways than sex for two to become one.

Great read Ashe. Rhythmic diaphramic breathing has always worked for my as a calming technique. Guaranteed to put me to sleep in 10 minutes!
