We have pleasure in sharing another photograph, delightful detail of maple, from the Batsford Arboretum collection of Bro. A.

This is an example of a tree that, in our imagination, is situated in the heartlands of the Woods, on the banks of the silver pond.

What a beautiful colours. The yellow and red contrast so well. We have maples here but not as lovely as this.

Glorious! Some around here are like that.

Maples are a predominate species here, and as the photo shows incredibly beautiful in autumn. In spring the air is filled with thousands and thousands of their little whirligig seeds and all summer little maple seedlings pop up everywhere.

So rich in colour and the generosity of sharing.
