a wave a death wish

a wave a death wish
rolls in cold November
no one sees the sailor
or the flag-semaphore
signaling the end

the need to crystallize
comes with the season
waving its magic
where still water lies
when no one is watching

see me in the good night
still with a smile
for the beating heart
see me here the herald
of younger days to come

As always, your work leaves me with images and thoughts not visualized prior to reading. I especially like and meditate on your last stanza, there is comfort here; a resolution of the foreboding in the first stanza.the second stanza is a wonderful transition.

Very well composed and structured, Bob.

Best regards.
