I AM OF BEIGE COMPLEXION

Thousands of years ago
My tribe took to wandering
The earth
Discovering new parts
New places
Some remained - set roots down
While others of the tribe - moved on
Before long - well over years - populated
The earth - spoke many languages
Change - some had - complexions - different
BUT - still the same - of the same D N A
Our original roots - lay in Africa
This I have not forgotten

Beige... are you sure it's not more like "peach?" :-)

Great poem.
