About a love going away. - 19th December 2015.

I'm the silent type.

In these final hours,
I shall look for a way to disappear.
All my broken thoughts
Becoming my dearest friend.
You are going for a while -
Please take my hopes and fears.
Keep them safe for another time and place.
I'll wait here and be the silent type.
You can have my words
And you can have my fight.

Very touching! "Please take my hopes and fears" I find especially striking and original.

Haunting is the perfect word. This is so lovely and memorable.

Haunting. Just haunting. That's all I can say.

This is sad, as farewells are, for love is the most tender of emotions. It is done without anger, which is caused by the hurt. You have chosen to simplify retreat allowing love once shared to prevail, not allowing hurt and pride to rule. Well done.
