for tim hardin, and for my love

moonshine

when the first buttons were undone

and the first touches made

you were there, setting the tone

when we first lay down

and felt, for the first time, one another

you were there, and the first kiss

so long ago, was kissed to your quiet voice

so long ago

you gave us something, you brought something

into the room

that has stayed with us, gentleness

and you, so long ago

left us, and left behind

moonshine

Nancy Sikora
Very sweet and calm, and a little melancholy.

Fantastic Pony. I am almost 20 years back after reading this Poem. This work which makes a reader feel younger, is absolute beauty.

Very nice, Pony. What could have been a sad poem instead is one of gratitude.

I like this, I like the gentleness, there is far too little gentleness in the world these days :-)

This tender and so sensuous poem leaves me with a longing and a nostalgia of memories. Simply beautiful. I like the implication of the title with its romantic meaning.
