The Lovely Gypsy

Lovely Gypsy Mona Lisa is a friend who writes
Memoirs of the summers sighing seas at night
Of wearing sprays of foaming stars in her hair as she ran and danced
To musical scores of laughter and tears of the loves she chanced
On metropolitan boulevards smoky jazz bars and au currant cafes
Painting pictures with words rather perfect compositions melancholy
Introspection framed in delicate contextual lines woven with the light
Of an artistic musing born and bred
Of conservatory training classical enough to find
Freedom in fields of thought personal enough to share
Beautifully tender notes, raining like dreamy visions from lonely skies
There are volumes yet unwritten sleeping there
In her Mona Lisa eyes are reflections
Of Life, the wonder of the wander of the music
That lives within
My gypsy friend .
