goodbyes that are really goodbyes

i heard a little boy say
(speaking to someone he knew)
"goodbye, see you tomorrow"

but some goodbyes are really goodbyes
and sometimes, there are no tomorrows

One of life's sad truths. I love the usage of the little boy character as that really makes the gravity of the end couplet more apparent.
