who is the he that I am not

who is he that I am not
rolling dark thunder
just for the sake of bright lights
and a dance to go

ceremonial occurrences in a day
do not proclaim solid kingdoms
in anyone's slow perception
it is a matter of reliance

conviction is like aged wine
sometimes though
there is no point in getting mad
for the sake of an old book

there is a dead silence creeping
in the aftermath of nothing
there is less than a road's end
there is so much fatigue

That end couplet is just wonderful. And this poem offers truths we should all ale to heart.
